Welcome to Tom’s Field 2021

We have now agreed our new dates for 2021 season and are hoping that by May we will be some way back to normal, although as I post this the country is once more in Tiers and Lockdown feels very close. We will keep you updated and fingers crossed the vaccine does its job.

May I assure campers if you book and we are unable to open or you can’t stay because of Covid we will refund or transfer the booking.

Following on from last year we will provide Covid safe facilities

When you arrive at Toms Field please come to Reception. We will give you an information sheet which we ask you read carefully and a map indicating your pitch. You’ll also receive a recycling and general rubbish bag as well as a menu for caterers for the weekend you are staying.

Please read carefully and understand that we might have to add other changes as we go. Our main cause for concern is with families or friends wanting to camp together, we will still socially distance you and ask that you do not exceed whatever numbers given by the Government as acceptable. This might seem difficult we are just doing our best to make it safe for everyone.

Caterers will visit and we look forward to seeing either The Happy Fryers or Pizza Pig depending on the weekend. I will post the days they will come.

There will be access to freezing blocks and charging phones etc.

There will be plenty of room to play, spread out and have fun so not all bad.

Finally, if you or a member of you’re group or family experiences ANY symptoms of Covid 19 while staying at Toms Field, we ask you leave immediately and notify us what has happened via text or call, do NOT come and see us to let us know, if you cannot leave you will have to inform us of this so we can assist in anyway possible.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming all our returning guests (not old!) and new alike. Tina and Tom XX sometimes Austin and almost always the spaniels Holly and Prudence.

even the horses want to stay at Tom's Field

Tom’s Field commands a stunning location close to the village of Godshill, 3 miles from the town of Fordingbridge. Please check our dates here. Godshill is a quiet village on the fringes of the New Forest  where ponies, donkey’s and cattle all wander freely. We boast direct access and fantastic views. Footpaths and cycle routes are literally on our door step.

The Fighting Cocks pub in Godshill is a 15 minute walk and the Horse and Groom is a gentle scenic 40 mins.

The Site

families camping together

With just over 50 pitches the main field offers large perimeter pitches for families and small groups. Our copse area is exclusively for couples which offer smaller pitches and a quieter retreat. Dogs are welcome on Tom’s Field, but we do expect them to be well behaved and the owners to clean up after them. We welcome guests with tents and camper vans only, sorry no caravans or electric hook up.

We are a small, quiet, family orientated site and do not allow large loud groups to stay. In order for our guest to enjoy the beautiful peaceful surroundings we have a no noise after 11.30 pm policy, and no music at any time.

wash up whilst enjoying some if the best views in the New Forest

Tom’s Field has a permanent toilet and shower block. Both the ladies and gents have 2 showers, proper flushing toilets and on the outside of the block there are two hot water washing up sinks with another hot water washing up area by reception. Drinking water taps are scattered around the site. We also offer ice pack freezing at reception and phone charging all free of charge. We hire fire pits and sell small logs, kindling and British made charcoal. Each morning a small community run shop, from the village of Woodgreen, visits Tom’s Field bring essentials including freshly baked bread and milk.

Back by popular demand on Saturday nights (Sunday’s too on Bank Holiday) are the Stone Fired Pizza’s or Fish & Chip Van. See news for more details on which option is available on each weekend.
