Just returned from a lovely weekend in Tom’s Field Camping, Godshill New Forset. Very friendly atmosphere – we were two couples and were allocated two great pitches in the copse area of the site where we could enjoy the view (when the weather allowed) undisturbed…on the main part of Toms Field families were able to then let their children have more freedom – everyone’s a winner! A mobile shop visits each morning and the toilet/shower facilities are more than adequate. Given a recycling bag on arrival and bricks for BBQ’s…overall very impressed by efficiency that still managed to feel totally laid back. Our weekend of caming in the New Forest was a wet one, but there are plenty of good pubs and distractions in the vicinity and beautiful surroundings. Site only open on the weekends, but well worth it! – Bryony
Toms Field is probably our favourite place to go Camping in the New Forest. We have been back every year since we found the site four years ago – Tim and Jenny
We have just spent three nights at Tom’s Field Camping and would recommend it highly to anyone looking for a small, family (& dog) friendly campsite. All the essentials well catered for, plenty of hot water, clean showers, friendly knowledgeable owners (Tom & Tina) who can point you in the direction of a good pub meal and a good day out. Local Village shop provides a daily delivery service, with lovely fresh baked bread and all other camping necessities.
The kids loved it and would have happily spent every day playing with other children on the site. Bricks provided to put BBQ’s and firepits on. Will definitely go back to Toms Field. Need to book, as popular, and we can see why! – Wedgbury Family
Toms Field is Great little New Forest camp site. Tom managed to squeeze us in last minute and gave us a pitch near the toilet block/showers making it clear to us that this pitch is the last one he normally rents out due to noise, size etc. We were more than happy and so was our 8mx3m tent. All went quiet after 9pm. We did a lot of walking in the New Forset near Toms Field Camping, but we did used our car a lot too, as there is so much to see. Would definitely go back again. – Sharwood Family
Came to Toms Field on recommendation from friends who visits 5/6 times a season and was not disappointed, we came with our 4 young children who loved every minute of it, it is a very safe site as there is only one main gate and the kids were free to explore in safety.
It is a small narrow site with just 50 generous size marked pitches, leaving the centre strip for games, playing, kite flying etc, the shower block is small but adequate and kept clean at all times, also 2 large washing up sinks, hot water was in constant supply at all times. The area its situated in gives access to many good walks in the New Forest, and the views from the camp site is to be believed.
There is no EHU, Bar, Pool, Caravans, Shop, But what they do have is, Peace and Quite with a no music policy, no noise after 23.30hrs, Dogs to be kept under control at all times, Free Freezer block facilities, and a travelling local shop that calls at about 08:30 for about 45 mins, this peaceful setup suits us all fine, but it would not be to everyone’s taste, especially those that like the all action style noisy campsites.
Tom & Tina (the Owners) could not have been more helpful, nothing was to much trouble for them and they treat all there “guests” superbly.
Our 4 youngsters could not have enjoyed themselves anymore than at this site, they made many friends and expelled a lot of energy, who needs TV, Ps3’s, Gameboys, Pc’s when you have the great outdoors like this site provides, Well done Tom & Tina, See you nest year – John and Sarah
